School of Rock - Music Recording & Production Camp [DRUMS & BASS GUITAR SOLD OUT]
School of Rock Montclair is excited to introduce a NEW summer camp in collaboration with Magic Door Recording, a state-of-the-art recording studio located right here in Montclair, NJ!
This is a one-week intensive camp where students will gain experience performing as studio musicians and learn about audio recording and production. This camp is for experienced students with at least a basic understanding of music theory and will take place at Magic Door Recording at 133 GlenRidge Avenue Montclair, NJ. Students will be grouped into two bands, each of which will learn, perform, and record two to three songs. The songs will be recorded two ways: first as “sound-a-likes,” which recreate the sonics and production of the original recordings, giving students the hands-on opportunity to understand how performance, production, and engineering tools and techniques contribute to their favorite records. Then, students will reinvent these songs and make them their own, and perform and record novel cover versions of their own creation! Students will receive the audio recordings of each song and depending on how well the recordings turn out, may have the opportunity to release their songs on the Magic Door Record Label!!

Cancellation policy
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel up to 30 days prior to the camp start date and receive a 90% refund. Between 30 days and 14 days prior to the camp start date you may cancel and receive a 80% refund. After 14 days prior to the camp start date the payment is non-refundable. If the camp is cancelled by School of Rock Montclair, a 100% refund or credit towards our year-round programs will be offered.
